Lindsay Lohan was arrested by police by 4am Thursday morning for punching a woman in the face at club Avenue, Manhattan, NYC.
According to New York Post, law enforcement sources, eyewitnesses who witnessed the fight said that the punched woman, 28-year old Tiffany Eve Mitchell, her husband and another couple were sitting at the VIP section of the club when a fight broke out somewhere nearby. Both women stood up to watch the fight.
Then Michell and Lohan bumped into each other, exchanged words and returned to their seats.
Then all of a sudden, the 26-year old troubled star stood up and punched Mitchell on the left side of her face.
Cops were called by Mitchell’s husband, and they came as soon as Lindsay was leaving the club and entering the passenger seat of a car. They then arrested her.
TMZ reported her as saying ‘Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me?’ as she was led out in handcuffs.
At the station Lindsay was booked for 3rd degree misdemeanor assault, given a desk appearance and released early this morning. As she was leaving with her face covered, one can see from the video that she was visibly upset as she sent one dude out of her car, saying “get out of the car Gavin, get of the car now” several times.
Also Mitchell, her husband and another woman left the station along with Lindsay. Both women refused to talk to cameramen, but the husband said, ‘Lindsay Lohan got drunk and went crazy.’
Police are already at the nightclub get the camera footage of the incident. ‘We’re here for the surveillance [footage] and they’re burning it on a CD for us,’ an investigator said.
This latest arrest has added another item to Lindsay’s problems with the law: She is yet to account for several DUI charges and lying to the police about a June traffic accident involving her car. She also runs the risk of violating her current probation.
No comments yet from Lindsay’s camp.
