Another revelation has come out of Jacintha Saldanha’s suicide notes: She blamed Australian DJs Mel Greig and Christian Michael for causing her death.
But there is more: Weeks before the prank call, Jacintha had long-lasting problems with a junior colleague in the hospital.
A family friend told MailOnline:
‘Jacintha was involved in a personal disagreement with a colleague several weeks before the prank call.
‘The hospital had decided not to take any formal action but to put the two nurses on separate shifts. Jacintha made clear her disappointment and that she was not happy.
‘She felt the hospital should have taken a tougher line. She was critical of that.’
The above statement explains the longest suicide note. Now to the second note.
After she was fooled into transferring the call of Mel Greig and Michael Christian, one of them (from 2DAY FM, maybe not the DJs) later called back to inform her that they played a prank and it was going to be aired. This stunt probably proved too much for her to handle, maybe she thought she was going to be made fun of by her colleagues or something. This is apparently what inspired the second note and the funeral note.
Meanwhile, she has been buried today in her hometown in Shriva, India. Her husband and children, plus the whole community all came out en masse to bid her farewell.
ENTmania’s comment: We hate to say this … but the nurse sure had some personality disorder or something related to it. This prank call simply ain’t worth taking your life over. RIP.
