Justin Bieber’s Ferrari has claimed the life of a paparazzo, who was Tuesday evening in Los Angeles killed by another car as he took snapshots of the car. Rapper Lil’ Twist was behind the wheel and Justin was not in the car.
According to police sources, Justin’s Ferrari was pulled over by cops for overspeeding around the Getty center. The photographer, who happened to be driving behind the car when it was pulled over, stopped and crossed the road to take pics while officers conducted a traffic stop.
The CHP in charge then ordered the photographer, identified as former casino worker Chris Guerra, to return to his car. He was told twice, and as he turned to go back, an oncoming vehicle struck him down and he died in the hospital a few moments later.
No comments yet from Justin’s camp.
Update 11:56 am EST:
Bieber has released a statement addressing the death of Chris Guerra, the photographer:
While I was not present nor directly involved with this tragic accident, my thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim. Hopefully this tragedy will finally inspire meaningful legislation and whatever other necessary steps to protect the lives and safety of celebrities, police officers, innocent public bystanders, and the photographers themselves.
In a related development, reports are saying that the paparazzo followed Justin’s car because he claimed that he saw Justin smoking marijuana while driving. If this allegation is true, and Justin was not the driver, then Lil’ Twist has some questions to answer.
