CNN presenter Kathy Griffin Wednesday night refused to apologize after her several attempts to stimulate oral sex on co-presenter Anderson Cooper on live TV on New Year’s Eve pissed off many parents.
When asked about the backlash by David Letterman on Wednesday’s Late Show, she said, ‘If you think this is the part where I’m going to apologize … you are sorely mistaken. I tried, ladies and gays, I tried. For you.’
Then Letterman replayed the offending stunt and asked her, ‘Let’s say a man on television did that to you. What would your reaction be?’
‘If it was Anderson Cooper, myself and every other gay guy and woman, I’d unzip so fast. Hands down.’ she replied.
Kathy’s stunt incurred the wrath of the Parents Television Council, who told CNN that it is ‘either the network has a policy that allows its on-air talent to fondle a co-anchor’s genitals, or it has a policy that forbids such conduct.’
