A surveillance footage showing a man beating up a woman, 26, dragging her around and throwing her onto subway tracks in a station in Philadelphia has led to his arrest Thursday.
The footage, which was recorded on Tuesday at Chinatown SEPTA station, shows 36-year old William Clark asking the woman for a lighter before suddenly descending on her with punches. Then he attempted to choke her, before dragging her by the leg and throwing her into the railway tracks.
Happily though, the woman emerged literally unhurt, sustaining only minor injuries on her head and face.
Police launched a manhunt, which eventually led to Clark’s arrest. He was booked for aggravated assault and armed robbery.
He also has a criminal history of burglary, theft and car jacking.
