Disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong is about to be immortalized…in a movie. Paramount Pictures and J.J Abrams’ Bad Robot have already started making a movie of the travails of the famous American.
Both studios have secured the rights to author Juliet Macur’s book proposal Cycle of Lies: The Fall of Lance Armstrong, to be published by Harper Collins. The book’s date of release has not been revealed yet.
Juliet Macur is a sports reporter for NY Times who had been following the achievements of Armstrong right from the times when things were going fine to his battle with testicular cancer, and now his doping saga which recently climaxed with his admission to Oprah Winfrey that he actually cheated to win his 7 Tour de France titles.
Sony Pictures first started the project when Armstrong was shining, but dropped it when the allegations started pouring in.
Well, at least Lance has achieved something.
