Officials at Reddington hospital have revealed that Goldie died from pulmonary embolism, the blockage of the great blood vessels going to the lungs, mostly caused by a blood clot.
A shocking news just reaching us reveals that popular Nigerian singer and former Big Brother Africa housemate Goldie Harvey is dead.
She died a few hours ago in the arms of her best friend Denrele Edun at Reddington Hospital in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.
Goldie, full name Susan Oluwabimpe Harvey, had just returned to Nigeria after attending the Grammy Awards with her record label Kennis Music on Sunday.
‘Goldie just came back from the US today and was so full of life, then something went tragically wrong,’ the grief-stricken Denrele told popular Nigerian blogger Linda Ikeji, before switching off his phone.
Kennis music has released a statement on her Facebook and Twitter pages confirming her death:
‘It is with heavy heart that I have to inform you all that Goldie passed this night shortly after arriving Lagos from LA. May her soul rest in the eternal peace of the Lord.’
