Country music singer Mindy McCready this evening shot herself to death in her home, just a few days after being released from a suicide watch facility.
According to various reports. the 37-year old shot herself and her dog, with neighbors confirming that they heard two gunshots.
The Ten Thousand Angels singer had never been herself after her fiance, record producer David Wilson similarly shot himself to death on January 13, saying in an emotional interview on NBC’s Dateline on Tuesday, Jan. 29: ‘I’ve never gone through anything this painful. He didn’t just touch my heart, he touched my soul.’
Ever since Wilson’s death, Mindy has taken to drugs and booze, and was so messed up that her family requested a judge to take her two little children, ages 6 years and 9 months, away from their home, which was granted on Feb 6. ‘Since boyfriend (David Wilson) shot himself she has been in bed for 3 weeks,’ her father had said in court documents. ‘Sleeps all day. Drinks all night and is taking Rx drugs. Not bathing or even helping take care of her 2 children.’
She has also attempted suicide before: first was in 2005 and another in 2008. Her death reportedly took place in Arkansas.
