Actor Alec Baldwin is in the midst of another confrontation with the media, after he threatened to choke a reporter to death and then hurled what appears to be a racial slur at a black photographer.
According to reports, it all started when a female NY Post reporter named Tara Palmeri approached him on the street as he was walking his dogs and asked him to comment on a lawsuit against his wife Hilaria, involving her work as a yoga instructor.
Tara told police that Baldwin grabbed her arm and told her, ‘I’m going to choke you to death,’ and then played an audio recording to support her claim.
The 30 Rock star then turned to the photographer and called him ‘a racial epithet, a “crackhead” and a “drug dealer”‘ according to New York Post.
The photographer – a decorated, retired detective with the NYPD’s Organized Crime Control Bureau – at a point, showed the actor an ID to prove he is a retired NYPD cop, but he dismissed it as ‘fake.’ Miller also claimed that Baldwin told him to ‘suck his d**k,’ adding that he even went as far as telling people on the street that he was an ex-con and a drug dealer.
‘He was saying some serious racist stuff,’ Miller said. ‘He said some choice words about my mother, and he was telling people in the street that I’m a drug dealer.
‘He could have said a lot of other stuff. But he used all of the stereotypes associated with black people.’
As a result, both men – in their mid 50s – filed harassment claims against each other.
It is unclear whether police will take any action.
