Lindsay Lohan has refused to cut a plea deal with prosecutors, insisting she does not have any problems warranting the deal.
We earlier told you that Lindsay has been offered a deal that will keep her out of jail for lying to the cops about her June car crash. Her lawyer Mark Heller and LA City/Santa Monica prosecutors had a telephone meeting to seal the deal on Wednesday.
However, reports coming from sources close to Lindsay Lohan say Mark Heller refused to accept prosecutors’ insistence that she should spend a reasonable amount of time at a residential rehab facility. They even reduced the duration from the original 60 days to around 30 days, yet Heller refused.
Heller, however, is willing to accept a deal that involves counselling and some rehab, and so the negotiation is still ongoing.
But there is one problem: Lindsay Lohan. According to sources, she has made it clear that she will not accept any plea deal, ‘cos to her it will be as if she is accepting ‘punishment for what she did not do.’
Well if she refuses to cut a deal, the prosecutors have nothing to lose … in fact, we learned they are more than willing – and probably even happy – to see her in court March 18.
LiLo is throwing away a piece of cake.
