Beyonce yesterday dropped her new track called Bow Down/I Been On and we just have one word for it: TERRIBLE.
The song is very much unlike the old Beyonce, ‘cos this new song of hers is full of swearing, arrogance and self exaltation. She even accompanied the song with a photo of her little self standing behind a collection of trophies, meaning she is boasting of how great she is and so all the ‘b*****es’ should bow down!
The lyrics include the following lines:
‘I know when you were little girls you dreamt of being in my world. Don’t forget it. Respect that. Bow Down b******…’
‘I took my time to live my life but don’t think I’m just his little wife. Don’t get it twisted this is my sh*t.’
Already her fans have taken to Twitter to express their disappointment with one writing: ‘This song makes no sense, is randomly offensive, and is way out of Beyonce’s lane.’ Another wrote: ‘how can u sing at the presidents inauguration then release this disgusting, offensive song @beyonce? I’m genuinely shocked.’ And another wrote: ‘‘The new Beyonce song is horrid. Unnecessary swearing, offensive misogynistic referencing of women, and terrible music and vocals. 0/1000.’
Listen to the song below and tell us what you think.
