A last-ditch effort to reach a settlement between Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries in their ongoing divorce battle has hit the rocks, and now the case is headed for trial on May 6.
Attorneys for both parties were unable to reach an agreement on the divorce terms inside a Los Angeles courtroom on Friday. Humphries’ attorney, Lee Hutton told RadarOnline, ‘The trial is proceeding as scheduled and I can’t comment on the proceedings today because they are confidential.’
However, Kris was not present in court during the settlement conference as was mandated, angering the judge, who set a sanction hearing against him for ‘mocking and disrespecting the court,’ according to TMZ. The website also reported that Kim and Kris must appear on the 19th for another pre-trial readiness/settlement conference.
Whatever the case is, this case is destined for trial.
