TNA president Dixie Carter moments ago reacted to the Austin Aries sexual harassment incident with ring announcer Christy Hemme, calling it an ‘inappropriate behavior’.
She wrote on Twitter, ‘TNA has ZERO tolerance for inappropriate behavior. The incident with Austin Aries was taken very seriously and handled immediately.’

She, however, did not reveal the punishment.
On last Thursday’s Impact Wrestling, Austin Aries intimidated Hemme into correcting herself after she mistakenly introduced him and his tag team partner Bobby Roode as ‘Bad Influence’ Kazarian and Christopher Daniels. While she did so, Aries mounted the second turnbuckle and shoved his groin very near her face. Hemme later went to Twitter to complain about the incident, saying that the action was ‘unacceptable’. She later deleted the tweet.
Spike TV executive David Schwarz said about the incident:
‘We have a zero tolerance policy for sexual harassment. We discussed [the incident] with our partner. [Aries is] being disciplined. I’m trying to get more information on what action is being taken.
Dixie Carter took this very personally. He will be disciplined. Again, we have a zero tolerance policy for sexual harassment. I’m not sure specifically how [the discipline] will be handled. To what extent, I don’t know. This is certainly something we don’t condone and don’t tolerate. Such behavior is not welcome.’
Aries has kinda responded to the controversy, tweeting on Sunday, ‘Pretty nuts, some of the junk people get the balls to say over the net, knowing they couldn’t to your face … Eh, anyway, time to sack out.’
