Justin Bieber last night received the Milestone Award at the 2013 Billboard awards, and while doing so he said something that earned him some boos from the crowd.
Wearing sunglasses at night, a gold chain and his usual ridiculous attire of leather shirt and LMFAO pants, Justin mounted up the stage and paused for the moment, absorbing the cheers and applause before beginning his awkward acceptance speech.
‘I’m 19 years old. I think I’m doing a pretty good job,’ Bieber boasted, and then proceeded to make reference to the bad press he has been getting lately.
‘From my heart, I really just want to say, it should really be about the music, it should be about the craft that I’m making,’ he continued. ‘This is not a gimmick. I’m an artist, and I should be taken seriously, and all this other bull should not be spoken of.’
These remarks earned him some boos from the crowd before he changed subject and started thanking everybody, his fans, Jesus Christ, etc.
After the awkward speech, show host Tracy Morgan kinda came to his defense by saying, ‘Don’t boo nobody!’
Aside from the Milestone Award, he also took home the Top Male Artist award.
