Kanye West has come under fire from American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) over a lyric from his new album where he disrespectfully used Parkinson’s disease as a simile in a song from his new album.
The song in question is called On Sight where he rapped, ‘A monster about to come alive again / Soon as I pull up and park the Benz / We get this b**ch shaking like Parkinson’s.’
The punch line did not go down well with the APDA – the largest organization in the US dealing with the genetic disease – who slammed the rapper’s lyrics as ‘ignorant’ and ‘distasteful’.
‘We find these lyrics distasteful and the product of obvious ignorance,’ APDA vice president Kathryn Whitford told TMZ.
No word yet from Kanye West’s camp.
