Embattled celebrity chef Paula Deen has cut ties with her longtime agent Barry Weiner in the wake of the unfortunate n-word controversy.
Deen’s rep, Elana Weiss, released a statement on Thursday announcing her split with Weiner, who helped her get into Food Network in 2002. ‘Paula Deen has separated from her agent. She and her family thank him for the tireless effort and dedication over the many years,’ Weiss said.
As ENTmania! reported, Paula Deen’s business woes started when she admitted during a court deposition that she used the had used the n-word back in 1986. Ever since the news broke, she has lost several endorsements and her upcoming cookbook cancelled by its publisher despite being number 1 seller on Amazon.
