Amanda Bynes is contesting the ruling on Thursday that she be confined under 5150 psychiatric hold for an extra two weeks, as her lawyer has filed docs requesting for an emergency hearing on the matter.
The hearing will take place at the hospital Amanda is currently confined in and she will be present.
As ENTmania! reported, a judge granted doctors their request to keep Amanda in hospital for 2 weeks to enable them to properly diagnose her condition.
Meanwhile, her parents’ bid to obtain conservatorship has been shut down temporarily. This is because the judge felt that there was no need to rush things since Amanda already is confined under 5150 hold for two weeks. Besides that, the judge said that for him to grant the conservatorship, he must speak to Amanda one-on-one, obtain the police file on the driveway fire incident, and get a report from her doctors.
In the court documents obtained by TMZ, Amanda’s parents described her as ‘extremely paranoid about being watched,’ a substance abuser who has ‘profound issues with her body image’ and is ‘obsessed with the fact that she (and others) are ugly.’ Not only that, they claim that their daughter spends tremendous amounts of money in short periods. For example, they claim that Amanda withdrew $200,00 between June 4 and July 2, and spent a ‘substantial amount’ of it on marijuana and other illegal substances.
The docs also state that Amanda is homeless who dosen’t connect with reality and ‘cabbed it’ from New York to Los Angeles.
The emergency hearing at the hospital begins at 2 pm PT.
Amanda later cancelled the emergency hearing, saying that she wants to give the drugs currently being administered to her by doctors time to work before resuming the fight. Translation: She has agreed to stay.
