Amanda Bynes has been moved to the psychiatric facility of UCLA Medical center, and her stay there will reportedly last for at least two months.
The troubled 27-year old star was moved by her mother Lynn – who is now her temporary conservator – from a hospital in Ventura County to the UCLA center, touted as one of the best psychiatric centers in the United States.
According to a source close to the situation, ‘It’s expected that Amanda will remain at UCLA for the next two months because she has a very complex mental health issues that need to be dealt with. It will also take a significant chunk of time to get Amanda therapeutic on several prescriptions for her condition — and to make sure it’s working properly.’
The source also added that doctors at The Ventura county hospital approved the move. ‘Her parents were extremely grateful to the doctors that treated Amanda at the county hospital and the medical team signed off on the transfer to UCLA.’
But the move had to be made because ‘Amanda needed specialized medical attention that she wasn’t getting at the hospital in Ventura County.’
Amanda has been partially diagnosed of schizophrenia, although doctors are still evaluating her mental condition.
