Authorities are smelling a rat about the cause of That ’70s Show star Lisa Robin Kelly’s death in rehab , and now separate investigations have been commenced by the L.A County Sheriff and L.A County Coroner.
According to TMZ, the rehab doctor pronounced Lisa dead at 8:40 am PT but the Coroner was not notified of her death by the rehab facility until noon. And to make matters more suspicious, the doctor stated that the cause of death was an embolism, even though an autopsy had not been carried out at that time.
So the Coroner rejected the doctor’s conclusion and an autopsy was carried out. But as we reported, the Coroner found nothing that might be the cause of her death. Nothing about any embolism has been determined either.
Now the Coroner and the Sheriff are suspicious. As it stands now, the Sheriff has blocked any info about Lisa’s death from being released, pending the conclusion of the ongoing investigation.
A toxicology report is still being awaited.
