Kris Jenner’s new talk show has been reportedly cancelled.
According to Radar Online, the Kardashian momager was told by Fox that her show won’t get a second run because of abysmal ratings and for the fact that no one wants to know more about the Kardashians anymore.
‘There is no chance the talk show is going to get a green light from FOX. The ratings were averaging an abysmal 0.8 and advertisers were less than enthusiastic about it,’ Kris was reportedly told.
Kris Jenner pulled all the stunts many people predicted she would pull for TV ratings:Fooling everybody about revealing baby North West at show’s debut, revealing Kim Kardashian’s post baby body, bribing a reviewer who savagely slammed her talk show, cow-milking competition, sumo wrestling with her daughter Khloe Kardashian and as a last, desperate resort, showing the first pics of Kim’s new baby North West – but it simply wasn’t enough to impress anyone.
‘Kris did get a ratings bump for her last show when Kanye West revealed the first baby pic of daughter, North West, with Kim, but that was a one time shot in the arm and it wouldn’t be indicative of what the ratings trend would be,’ the source close to the production told the website, adding, ‘It’s a very crowded market and Kris didn’t do anything to set herself apart from the field. Believe it or not, most of America doesn’t want to hear about the Kardashians for an hour everyday.’
According to the source, FOX won’t make a formal announcement of the show’s demise until after a few weeks, out of respect for the current marital crisis rocking Khloe’s marriage to Lamar Odom.
‘It will be announced in a low key fashion, probably on a Friday afternoon so it won’t generate a ton of negative press for Kris,’ the insider reportedly said.
So, huge sigh of relief, America?
Meanwhile, The Real – which debuted the same day as Kris – will be retained for another run.
