Former South Africa president Nelson Mandela has been released from hospital on Sunday after three months of treatment in a hospital in the nation’s capital.
The 95-year old apartheid hero is still in critical condition, but doctors believe he is now well enough to return home, where intensive care will continue.
As we previously reported, Mandela was placed on life support back in June after a recurring lung infection became seriously life-threatening, causing the whole nation to hold rallies and elders to get ready for his death.
This Sunday, an internet rumor spread via Twitter that former U.S president George H.W. bush has confirmed that the elder statesman has passed.
But the rumor has turned out to be false, as the much-respected Mandela is still alive and at home.
