Aaryn Gries – the Big Brother contestant whose ‘racist’ remarks caused so much uproar in the internet, was evicted on Thursday night … but she still maintains that she is not a racist despite the hurtful comments.
Ever sine the show kicked off, the remarks and actions of some of the contestants – especially Aaryn – has caused so much uproar that some of them even got fired from their jobs by their various employers, and CBS releasing a statement distancing itself from their comments.
But during the interview with Julie Chen, who read to her face some of the nastiest comments she made while in the house, Aaryn – who looked shocked and embarrassed while listening to her own comments, said, ‘I honestly feel horrible. I feel like in Texas we say things that are sometimes … we joke and we don’t mean it.’
She continued, ‘I really feel bad that this is how it has been seen and how I’ve come across to people. I don’t want to seem like that person and I really do respect everyone in this game, although we have had some really hard times because we’re all fighting for our lives in the game.’
Aaryn has been fired by her modelling agency because of her comments, but she is still unaware of it because she will be confined to another section of the house until the show ends.
Meanwhile, she was booed both while mounting and leaving the stage.
