Gwyneth Paltrow has denied ever cheating with hotel mogul Jeffrey Soffer, despite claims by Vanity Fair magazine in their new cover story expected to run in their next edition.
According to a report by New York Post, ‘Vanity Fair is asking if Gwyneth had an affair with Jeff back in 2008 when he reopened the Fontainebleau. He flew her in for the party, and she stayed at his house.’
The newspaper also claims that ‘Soffer reportedly gave Paltrow a private tour of the hotel, whisking her away in his Bentley, and the following day, she joined him on his yacht with Kate Hudson,’ adding that she and husband Chris Martin were ‘on the rocks’ at that time.
But the Iron Man 3 star swiftly fired back at the upcoming report, telling friends in an email back in May, ‘Vanity Fair is threatening to put me on the cover of their magazine. If you are asked for quotes or comments, please decline. Also, I recommend you, all never do this magazine again.’
Her rep also dismissed the Vanity Fair report as ‘one big lie’ in a statement to the media on Friday, saying, ‘Jeff is a long time friend of Gwyneth’s and there was absolutely no romantic relationship with him. He flew several friends down to Miami, not just Gwyneth.’
Though it’s unclear who is telling the truth, one thing is obvious is that Gwyneth and He flew several friends down to Miami, not just Gwyneth and Vanity Fair execs have some beef with each other.
‘We started a story on her. We have a very good writer and it’ll run … She sort of forced my hand,’ editor Graydon Carter told The Times of London.
