Kim Kardashian says the weight jabs she suffered in the hands of the media during her pregnancy ‘really hurt my soul’ and that ‘sexy’ swimsuit selfie she posted on Instagram two weeks ago was her ‘big middle finger to the world on everyone that called me fat.’
Kim told Jay Leno on The Tonight Show, ‘[The pregnancy weight criticisms] changed how I am in the public a little bit. I would go out and there would just be photos of me anytime I was hungry… and these stories where I was like 200 pounds.’
Kim also adds that ‘it was the greatest challenge of my life to have gained 50 pounds’ and even though she has lost all the weight, the merciless jabs has made her want to ‘live more of a private life.’
‘Why would I subject myself to so much negativity? Especially now that I have a daughter. I just don’t need that energy. I rather be in a happy place, when I’m home,’ she says.
Uh-huh. Let’s see how long that will last … cos not even that see-through dress she is wearing is supporting her privacy claims.
Side note: Kim was mostly criticized for her really bad fashion choices during the critical stages of her pregnancy (uncomfortable, tight leather clothes and wearing high heels even when her legs got swollen), but some media outlets wickedly taunted her weight gain, churning out terrible headlines like ‘Kim Can’t Stop Eating!’ and ‘Kim Kardashian: I’ve Gained 200 Pounds!’
Kim also spoke about her engagement to Kanye West and confirmed she would take his last name after they get married.
