Alec Baldwin’s show on MSNBC has been suspended for two weeks in the wake of his recent squabbles with the paparazzi and local reporters.
As we reported, the 30 Rock star allegedly called one photographer a ‘c***sucking f*g’ on Thursday and the very next day got involved in three separate similar confrontations.
Later that day, MSNBC announced that it has suspended Up Late With Alec Baldwin for the next two weeks.
On Saturday, Baldwin appealed to the public in his Huffington Post blog not to let his drama with the paparazzi cause the cancellation of his show, writing, ‘Whether the show comes back at all is at issue right now.’
After insisting he is no homophobic bigot and lamenting about how ‘heartbreaking’ it is for the hard work put on two unaired shows that will no longer air, he concluded, ‘Two requests. Don’t allow my problem to be MSNBC’s problem. They are good people who work hard at a job, just like many of you. And two, please respect the privacy of my wife and family. ‘
