Justin Bieber claimed on Twitter that he met with the President of Mexico Enrique Peña Nieto – but it turned out that he was mistaken as the Prez himself denied ever meeting the pop star.
Bieber had tweeted on Monday, ‘just met some amazing mexican beliebers and the presidente of mexico and his familia.’ But few minutes later, the office of the Mexican president tweeted a message in Spanish that translates, ‘The Holder @Presidenciamx denies Executive meeting with singer @justinbieber.’
Justin later tried to explain the mistake, tweeting on Tuesday, ‘I met the presidente’s family and all their friends in the private meet and greet with all their security. They were very nice.’
Well, damage control things.
