Kristie Alley completely blasted her former friend Leah Remini, saying that the actress is now her ‘enemy’ for speaking against Scientology.
Alley was on The Howard Stern Show on Wednesday when she unloaded on Remini – who famously left Scientology this year – when she was asked about her feeling towards the way the King of Queens star is publicly speaking against the religion.
Around the 30-minute mark in the video below, you can hear Alley saying, ‘First of all, I just want everyone to know I have hundreds of friends who have come into Scientology and left Scientology… You’re not shunned, you’re not chased. All that stuff’s bullsh*t.’
‘When you are generalizing and when your goal is to malign and to say things about an entire group… when you decide to blanket statement that Scientology is evil, you are my enemy.’
Alley also claims she ‘didn’t care’ about Leah leaving the religion, but at the same time she kinda contradicted herself by announcing that she ‘blocked her on Twitter ‘because she’s a bigot.’
Remini, on her own part, kinda responded to Alley’s blast by quoting Mark Twain in a tweet which reads, ‘It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt.’
‘Something I wish I had practiced! Lol,’ she added.
Leah Remini has responded to Kristie Alley’s blast, telling photographers, ‘You know, I just wish the best for people’ when asked about it. Video below:
