Katherine Jackson has filed for a new trial in the Michael Jackson wrongful death lawsuit.
In the new legal documents, Katherine claims that the judge was one-sided in his judgement by not allowing the jury to consider the fact that Conrad Murray became irresponsible after AEG hired him.
As you will recall, The Jackson Estate lost the $40 billion lawsuit it filed against the concert promoter because the jury decided that there was no reason to believe that Conrad Murray was incompetent before AEG hired him. But Katherine feels that the judge didn’t let the jury go further by proving that the convicted doctor became irresponsible in the months leading to Michael Jackson’s death.
The new documents reportedly contain statements by 4 of the jurors, who feel that the judgement was wrong.
According to TMZ, one wrote, ‘I feel so cheated …’ while another complained about how the jury instructions made impossible Katherine’s chances of winning. Yet another juror wrote, ‘This was a very unfair and upsetting way to end the case. There was no question in my mind that AEG Live was liable.’
As we previously reported last month, Katherine Jackson said she would appeal the verdict.
