Phil Robertson, leader of the Duck Dynasty clan, says homosexuality is a sin, no matter how the world tries to sell it as a normal, acceptable lifestyle.
The reality star cum hunter extraordinaire made the obvious known in a recent interview for the January issue of GQ magazine, where he speaks about God, his family and sin.
Of his family Phil says, ‘We’re Bible-thumpers who just happened to end up on television. You put in your article that the Robertson family really believes strongly that if the human race loved each other and they loved God, we would just be better off.’
Phil laments that these days ‘Everything is blurred on what’s right and what’s wrong. Sin becomes fine.’ And when asked by the mag about what he views as sinful, he replies, ‘Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men.’
Buttressing his point, Phil goes ahead to paraphrase 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 which states, ‘Do you not know that the unrighteous and the wrongdoers will not inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived (misled): neither the impure and immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who participate in homosexuality, Nor cheats (swindlers and thieves), nor greedy graspers, nor drunkards, nor foulmouthed revilers and slanderers, nor extortioners and robbers will inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God.[Amplified]’
‘Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers — they won’t inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t deceive yourself. It’s not right,’ Phil said.
‘It seems like, to me, a vagina — as a man — would be more desirable than a man’s anus,’ he continues. ‘She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes… But hey, sin: It’s not logical, my man. It’s just not logical.’
