Phil Robertson is being witch-hunted by the media … and some disgruntled people – angry that he got away with his anti-gay comments – are now hell bent on digging up dirt about him.
A video of Phil telling a Georgia crowd to ‘marry… girls when they are 15 or 16’ has surfaced online. The video was recorded during a Georgia Sportsmen’s Ministry event in 2009.
In the video, the Duck Dynasty patriarch – who was giving dating advice at the event – can be heard saying, ‘I’m going to give you some river rat counseling here. Make sure that she can cook a meal, you need to eat some meals that she cooks, check that out. Make sure she carries her Bible. That’ll save you a lot of trouble down the road. And if she picks your ducks, now, that’s a woman.’
‘They got to where they’re getting hard to find. Mainly because these boys are waiting until they get to be about 20-years-old before they marry ‘em,’ Phil continued. ‘Look, you wait until they get to be 20-years-old, the only picking that’s going to take place is your pocket. You got to marry these girls when they are about 15 or 16, they’ll pick your ducks. You need to check with mom and dad about that of course.’
Now many pro-gay activists are trying to twist his comments into that of a pedophile. Good luck with that.
FYI: Phil Robertson dated his wife Miss Kay when she was just 14-years old and married her two years later in 1966. They have been married for 47 years.
