Farrah Abraham got herself a fake boyfriend so that she could star in a reality show called Couples Therapy, so says the fake boyfriend.
Orlando-based DJ Brian Dawe told Starcasm that former Teen Mom star – now best known as the Backdoor Teen Mom – approached him with the proposal – and he agreed – but backed out at the last minute because his conscience couldn’t let him continue with the sham.
‘I got myself in this situation because I was only thinking about the profit I would be making from doing this show. That was wrong,’ Brian told the website. ‘In the back of my head, I realized I could not participate in a TV show that would further exploit Farrah, and where I would have to lie to be involved.’
Brian said he first met Farrah Abraham when she made an appearance in the same nightclub where he was DJing, and that was where she asked him to pretend to be her boyfriend so that she could land the Couples Therapy gig.
‘Farrah told me to lie to the network and tell them the relationship was real,’ Brian said, adding the network offered to pay ‘a substantial amount of money.’
To spice things up, Farrah and the reality show goons at VH1 arranged for a paparazzo to snap pics of them at a park (the pics in this post), and Brian claims that Farrah told him she intended to sell the photos to various media outlets.
Brian says he played along with the sham until the time he was set to board a flight to Los Angeles.
‘I checked my bags and got into the airport security line. When I was in that line it really hit me what I was doing. I stepped out of the security line and made a life changing decision to stand up for what I believe in and turn down the check I would be receiving for my appearance on this show.’
Brian claims that even after calling the Couples Therapy producers informing them that he won’t do the show anymore, they still offered him an additional $15,000 to participate. That was when he cut off all communications with the reality show and Farrah.
He also explained that in the show’s trailer, many scenes were faked, including one where the Backdoor Teen Mom tells Dr Jenn Berman, ‘I think he purposely did this to hurt me.’
Farrah, has already slammed Dawe for exposing the truth, writing on Twitter, ‘F*** loser boyfriends who use me! & can’t face the truth!!’
Fame whoring is a disease.
