The Wolf of Wall Street has set a new record of the most number of f-words uttered in an American movie.
According to Wikipedia’s list, Martin Scorsese’s Golden Globe-nominated movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio uttered the word ‘f***’ and its derivatives a record 506 times in 179 minutes … sending home the 435-times record held by Spike Lee’s 1999 film Summer Of Sam.
Scorsese has two other movies in the Top 12 list – Casino (422 f***s) andGoodfellas (300 f***s).
The Wolf Of Wall Street tells the true life story of an amorous stockbroker Jordan Belfort (DiCaprio) who defrauded clients of over $100m but got away with a 22-month sentence after agreeing to testify against his co-conspirators.
Congratulations? Not so fast, ‘cos the overall record still belongs to F*** – a documentary about the offensive word.
