Kate Gosselin was smitten with frustration when her twin daughters deliberately refused to speak on Thursday morning’s TODAY show.
The 13-year old twins Mady and Cara were supposed to talk about how their lives have not been negatively affected by their defunct show Jon and Kate Plus 8, but when host Savannah Guthrie asked them if they were really doing fine post reality-show, the kids went completely silent.
‘It’s your chance, spit it out,’ Gosselin urged the kids. Still they refused.
After unsuccessfully trying to make the girls speak, Kate said, ‘I don’t want to speak for them but, Mady, go ahead. Sort of the things that you said in [People] magazine, that years later they’re good, they’re fine. Go for it, it’s your chance.’
But Mady replied, ‘No. You just said it.’
The silence of Cara especially irritated Kate, who at a point whispered ‘My gosh!’ and barked at her to speak.
‘Yes or no!’ she barked at Cara, who remained silent.
The only time Cara spoke during the interview was when Guthrie asked the girls if they will participate in a new reality show, and her words were, ‘Uh-huh.’

The twins’ father Jon Gosselin spoke to TMZ about the interview, saying he felt ‘horrible’ watching his kids ‘shut down’ on the show.
