A man in Tennessee was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries on Sunday after he accidentally shot himself in the face while undressing.
According to the Johnson City Press, police deputy David Caldwell of the Carter County was called to William Rood’s home where he found a bloody scene. Rood told him that his pistol, a .25 caliber Beretta, had been at the front right pocket of his pants … and had discharged when he placed the pants on a drawer.
The bullet hit Rood in the nose and chin before settling in his neck. He has since been airlifted to Johnson City Medical Center for treatment.
