Justin Bieber might be forced to say goodbye to good ol’ US of A because an online petition seeking to deport him back to Canada has reached the White House.
The petition, which was started on the White House’s official website has already gathered more than 115,000 signatures of angry Americans, who say that the troubled singer is a reckless drug abuser who is ‘not only threatening the safety of our people but he is also a terrible influence on our nation’s youth.’
The petition reads:
We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture. We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive and drug-abusing Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked. He is not only threatening the safety of our people, but he is also a terrible influence on our nation’s youth. We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society.
The petition is seeking the deportation of Bieber as well as the revocation of his green card.
As the petition has gathered more than 100,000 signatures, the White House must respond to it. But the thing is, none of the crimes Bieber is currently under investigation is enough to get him deported under the immigration law.
Similarly, another White House petition seeking to counter the demands of the Deport-Justin-Bieber group has gathered a paltry 1,691 signatures as at the time of this report. It still needs around 98,309 signatures before February 24 for it to be considered.
As it is now, JB’s future in USA lies in the hands of President Obama.
