A tearful Amanda Knox appeared on Friday’s Good Morning America, where she spoke up about the latest Italian court verdict that convicted her for the murder of her former roommate Margaret Kercher.
As ENTmania! reported, Knox was convicted again for murder and sentenced to 28 years in jail … and this is coming after a court in 2011 acquitted her and former boyfriend Rafael Sollecito of the same murder.
‘I couldn’t believe what I was hearing,’ and emotional Knox told anchor Robin Roberts. ‘My first reaction was “no” and “this is wrong,” and I’m going to do everything I can to prove that it is and I felt very determined and my family felt very determined. But it was only on my way here that I really got my first cry.’
Now that she is convicted, Knox will have to be extradited to Italy to serve her sentence. But she says she will not willingly surrender herself.
‘I will never go willingly back … I’m going to fight this until the very end,’ she said. ‘…It’s not right, and it’s not fair.’
Sollecito has already been apprehended in Italy while attempting to cross the Italian/Austrian/Slovenia border on Friday. He was sentenced to 25 years in jail.
