Philip Seymour reportedly confided in his friends that he would die of heroin overdose if he failed to kick the addiction.
According to TMZ, the late Hunger Games actor fell off the wagon 6 weeks before he died … and in December he told his friends that he couldn’t kick the heroin habit. He reportedly would kick it in a few days, but then he would relapse.
The report goes on to say that he even went back to AA during those 6 weeks in a desperate attempt to regain sobriety to no avail. At a point, he reportedly told someone who asked him about his problem, ‘If I don’t stop I know I’m gonna die.’
Unfortunately that was what happened: Hoffman was found dead in his apartment on Sunday with a needle still in his arm. ENTmania! reported that cops found around 50 bags of cocaine in the apartment … but that number has since increased to around 70 – 50 opened, 20 unopened..
He was 46.
