A 10-year old boy in Norway stole his parents’ car while they slept … and after crashing it into a ditch, he told cops that he was a dwarf who forgot his driver’s license.
According to local reports, the boy on Wednesday morning put his 18-month old sister into his parents’ car and drove off, hoping to reach his grandmother’s house which was located around 68 miles from their home located 110 miles away from Oslo.
After driving 6 miles, he then crashed the car into a snowy ditch … and moments later he was found by a snowplow driver, who called police.
According to Baard Christiansen, a spokesman for the Vest Oppland police district, ‘The boy told the snowplow driver that he was a dwarf and that he had forgotten his driver’s license at home.’
He continued, ‘The parents woke up and discovered that the children were missing and that someone had taken off with their car. They were pretty upset, as you can imagine.
‘We have talked to them, and I’m pretty sure they’re going to pay very close attention both to their children and to their car keys in the future.’
The children were not injured in the crash and the car was not damaged. No charges will be filed.
