Lena Dunham has slammed female-focused website Jezebel for offering $10,000 to obtain un-retouched pics from her Vogue cover photo shoot last month.
The Girls creator/actress told Bill Simmons during his B.S Report broadcast released on Thursday, ‘That was messed up,’ after he said he likes Jezebel but not what they did to her.
‘I think Jezebel can be really smart and funny,’ she continued. ‘I think it’s just that once you’ve been attacked in that way, it’s hard to enjoy…. once you feel they’ve made such a monumental error in their approach to feminism. It felt gross.’
It is worthy to note that while Jezebel did decimate the photoshopped Vogue photos, it did not criticize Dunham for it but blamed the fashion magazine for making unnecessary alterations to them.
‘Lena Dunham and her fans, ourselves included, love her just the way she is. Vogue‘s opinion, of course, is another matter,’ the website’s piece began.
