Amanda Bynes has struck a sweet deal in her 2012 DUI case by pleading no contest to a lesser charge.
The recovering actress was presented with a plea deal that will get her DUI charge dropped if she pleads no contest to reckless driving. According to the terms of the deal, Amanda will be placed on 3 years probation, must attend a 3-month alcohol ed course, and pay various fines.
Her lawyer Rich Hutton on Monday accepted the terms and so the DUI charge was reduced to the less serious ‘wet reckless’ charge.
Amanda was arrested in April 2012 for DUI and after getting booked and released, she asked President Obama on Twitter to fire the arresting officer.
This ultimately began the series of famous Twitter showdowns that ended with the actress recovering from schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
