Mean Girls reunion will not be a movie sequel despite rumors pointing towards that direction, says Tina Fey who is organizing the whole thing.
The actress – who co-wrote the movie – was at the L.A premiere of her new movie Muppets Most Wanted where she set the records straight.
‘We’re coming up next month on the 10-year anniversary of the original movie… I can’t believe it either,’ Fey told Extra. ‘We’re going to see if there’s any way to get everyone together, but not a movie, sadly. We’re all past high school age.’
As ENTmania! previously reported, the news about a possible Mean Girls reunion was first made public by Lindsay Lohan during an appearance in last Thursday’s The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, but she did not mention anything about a movie sequel.
