A man stabbed his boss to death inside a restaurant in Palm Beach County, Florida on Thursday night for posting his picture online earlier this month.
Witnesses having dinner at the Jimmy the Greek Taverna Restaurant frantically called 911 and told police how restaurant employee Tilus Lebrun attacked restaurant owner Dimitro Karaloukas with a large knife resembling a meat cleaver for no apparent reason.
According to employees and patrons of the restaurant, Lebrun stabbed Karaloukas three times in the left side and once in the back as he was sitting down, reports Sun-Sentinel. Another worker was also stabbed and is currently in critical condition. Karaloukas died in the hospital.
According to police, Lebrun told them in Haitian Creole as he was being cuffed that ‘I killed him because he took my picture on March 2 and posted it on the internet.’ Later on, he told the deputy at the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office headquarters, ‘They need to learn how to respect people. I have three kids in Haiti. I know they will suffer, but they will survive.’
He is currently being held in jail on first-degree murder charges.
