Police in Ohio arrested a man for driving his wheelchair under the influence of alcohol last week Friday.
Delaware County deputies say they received a number of calls from citizens who told them a man was driving his wheelchair recklessly on the Burlin Station Road, just north of Columbus.
On responding to the calls, police found Donald Law driving without reflectors or lights … and when he was pulled over, cops soon discovered that he was drunk.
Under Ohio law, DUI offenses apply to all types of vehicles. But in Law’s case, cops gave him a pass. Instead of charging him for DUI, he was booked for misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
