Zac Efron’s friends do not believe the story he told cops about how he got punched in the face at a dangerous, drug-infested L.A spot after midnight … in fact, they believe the actor is back to doing drugs.
As ENTmania! previously reported, the actor told cops that he and his ‘bodyguard’ were on their way to a sushi restaurant when their car ran out of gas … and when his ‘bodyguard’ got attacked by a group of transients, he rushed out to help … only to end up getting punched in the face.
According to TMZ, both the cops and Efron’s friends are not buying the story. As one friend put it, ‘Zac’s a loner. He goes out rarely and the idea of him driving for miles to go to some sushi restaurant in downtown L.A. after midnight is preposterous.’
Also friends say the purported ‘bodyguard’ – who was earlier identified as having previous criminal records of drugs and violence – is not a bodyguard at all. He has been hanging out with Efron lately … and friends fear he’s the actor’s drug dealer.
Law enforcement sources also said that when they arrived the scene of the fight, only Zac was bleeding and the ‘bodyguard – who claimed he was stabbed in the face, chest and abdomen and that the actor saved his life – was actually sitting in the car sending text messages.
And in a new twist, it has emerged that Zac Efron NEVER went to rehab twice for cocaine abuse, as was earlier reported. Instead, both times he went to a friend’s house outside California to get private therapy.
Zac friends are now understandably ‘worried sick’ about the actor.
