A very drunk Catholic priest was busted by police last week for drunk driving … and during the search officers found that he was also carrying guns and weed.
Father Sean P. Thomson, a University of Alaska Fairbanks parish priest, was pulled over when officers noticed that his blue 2002 GMC Sierra pickup truck was ‘weaving, crossing the center line and speeding 79 mph in a 65 zone,’ reports Newsminer.
When an officer asked him for the vehicle registration, the priest produced a receipt instead … and when he was asked whether he had any guns, he mentioned a .357 in the backseat, but failed to tell the officer that there was another 9 mm pistol in his back pocket.
A small amount of weed was also found tucked away in the sweatshirt he was wearing.
Thomson blew a .247 during the Breathalyzer teat – more than 3 times the legal limit. He refused to subject himself to more accurate tests after admitting to the officer that he was drunk.
Thomson has been scheduled to appear in Rabinowitz Courthouse in Fairbanks on Friday.
