Muhammad Musa Khan – the 9-month old Pakistani baby charged with conspiring to kill police – has gone into hiding following his first court appearance last week Thursday.
According to local reports, Khan was released on bail and scheduled to appear in court on April 12 … but his grandfather Muhammed Yasin – who was also charged along with the boy’s father and 30 others – has indicated that the baby may never show up.
‘Police are vindictive. Now they are trying to settle the issue on personal grounds, that’s why I sent my grandson to Faisalabad for protection,’ Yasin told Reuters.
‘He does not even know how to pick up his milk bottle properly, how can he stone the police?’ he asked journalists during Thursday’s hearing.
More details have emerged concerning how the baby got charged: A police sub-inspector, who has since been fired, claimed that the boy’s entire family beat him up while protesting the hike in gas prices and lack of electricity in their area.
