A Zimbabwean man was caught red-handed raping fowls in a fowl farm … and three of the birds died as a result of his sexual attack.
According to local reports, Peter Nyoni, an executive of MDC-T party in Vungu District, broke into Mrs Tsitsi Sibanda’s fowl pen and started assaulting her layers. When she confronted him, the embarrassed official told her that he was merely inserting his finger into the birds’ backside so that he could gain knowledge of how they lay their eggs [LOL].
This incident occurred last week Tuesday in Mankunzane Village in Lower Gweru community and of course, it has become the talk of the town.
From Sunday News:
In an interview with Sunday News, Mrs Sibanda said she was still puzzled as to what could have driven Nyoni to abuse her layers.
Mrs Sibanda said she had since used about $100 in traditional court fees and other expenses on what she said was a strange case.
“I caught him (Nyoni) red-handed in my fowl run abusing my layers. When I confronted him, he said he was just putting a finger into the back of the layers to find out how big the opening was. I was shocked to realise the following day in the morning that three of my layers had died, apparently after they succumbed to the abuse by Nyoni,” she said.
Mrs Sibanda who has a batch of 50 layers which she said were donated by a non governmental organisation, Help Germany, said she took the dead layers to a local veterinary officer who certified that they died as a result of anal penetration.
“I then decided to take the matter to Headman Khanda so that Nyoni could compensate me. I have used almost $100 in expenses including visiting the veterinary officer. I am still puzzled as to why Nyoni acted in the manner he did,” she said.
Nyoni declined comment when he was contacted. A Sunday News crew visited his homestead in Lower Gweru after he promised to give his side of the story but he later went into hiding.
The traditional ruler of the community Headman Khanda has confirmed the incident, saying, ‘I handled the matter in which Sibanda is alleging that she caught Nyoni red-handed raping her layers in a fowl run. In leading evidence, I called a local veterinary officer who confirmed that the layers died as a result of anal penetration. Nyoni who is not in dispute with the fact that he was indeed caught inside the fowl run with one layer in his hands is, however, denying that he raped the layers.’
