The Kardashians and stepmother Ellen Pearson-Kardashian have reached a settlement in their ongoing copyright infringement lawsuit.
As ENTmania! reported, the Kardashian clan sued Pearson for seizing their late dad Robert Kardashian’s diary and then leaking its contents to the media, claiming that the diary was given to them in according to the will.
Pearson then hit back with a counter-lawsuit, claiming that the family sued her as part of a publicity stunt for Keeping Up with the Kardashians, referencing to a Season 8 episode which she claims was ‘crafted’ just for that purpose.
Some of Pearson’s claims were thrown out, however, with Kim and Rob getting exempted from the case. But it didn’t prevent Pearson to file a defamation lawsuit against the family.
On Saturday, a lawyer for the Kardashians announced that both parties has reached a settlement on the copyright infringement lawsuit, but not on that of defamation:
Kris Jenner and Kimberly, Khloe, Kourtney and Robert (Jr) Kardashian have settled their lawsuit against Ellen Pearson Kardashian. The diaries and photos have been returned to the Kardashians, and all other terms of the settlement are confidential. Ellen will continue her state court action for defamation.
Meanwhile, the family is seeking for attorney fees from Pearson.
