A Russian woman was captured on video pushing her 2-month old baby boy into train tracks while having a heated argument with her baby’s father.
The shocking CCTV footage was captured inside a train station in Leninsky district of Yekaterinburg, the fourth-largest city in Russia, and it shows 29-year old Valentina Belousov pushing the baby – strapped in a stroller – into the tracks, with neither father nor mother bothering to do anything to stop it.
Thankfully, the boy was not harmed. He was taken to hospital and away from his mother, and now child services are thinking of getting a new home for him.
This part will be a difficult decision to make because according to social worker Marianne Denisova, Belousov herself was taken away from her parents and raised by child services. For this reason, child services are contemplating on whether taking the boy away from Belousov permanently will be the best thing to do.
Meanwhile, Belousov has repeated many times that she loves her son and wants him back, saying that the train tracks incident has opened her eyes to realize that she has a serious problem.
‘It just got too much for me, but it took this to make me realize that I needed help and I’m now going to fight for my son,’ she told a local news channel.
But according to Denisova, the living conditions in Belousov’s house ‘was totally unsuitable environment for a young baby to be raised in,’ adding that ‘It looked as if nobody had cleaned in there for years.’
‘If she cleans up the flat and demonstrates that she really does want the child, then it is possible that he will be returned to her,’ Denisova said. ‘But she needs to guarantee that she can provide the proper care and love that he needs.’
