Ben Affleck was kicked out – and banned for life from playing blackjack – in a casino in Las Vegas for allegedly counting cards on Tuesday.
Sources from Hard Rock casino told TMZ that the actor-director was caught counting cards – a playing strategy that involves counting card values to reduce betting risk. This made the casino officials label him ‘an advantaged player’ and not suitable to play blackjack at Hard Rock.
It is worthy to note that counting cards is not illegal in the gambling world … but it can get one kicked out for cheating. According to the outlet, Affleck’s table was quickly swarmed by security, who escorted him out of the facility and hired a car to take him back to his hotel.
Ben Affleck is a pro at playing cards. In 2001, he won over $800,000 by playing three $20,000 blackjack hands at once in Hard Rock.
No wonder they kicked him out.
